Casting of brass
The UCB Technometal non-ferrous foundry is engaged in the production of non-ferrous metals – including brass casting. The foundry is part of the multinational company UCB Group.
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc that is used in many industries. The first casting of brass dates back to around 1000 BC, but production was very difficult and expensive. Brass was therefore mainly used for coins and jewellery.
Cast brasses find applications in less stressed pump components, gas and water pipeline fittings, construction and furniture fittings, gears, worms, valves and bearing housings.
Brass casting is a traditional product of our non-ferrous foundry, in addition to standard moulds we are able to fully adapt to customer requirements – contact us.
